Smart and Skilled is a NSW Government initiative providing eligible students with subsidised training for in-demand careers, including makeup and beauty courses. At Cameron Jane Makeup Academy, our makeup courses under this program are hands-on, ensuring students are job-ready from day one!
Smart and Skilled Courses on Offer at the Cameron Jane Makeup Academy
We offer a variety of makeup courses through the Smart and Skilled program, including:
- Intro into Makeup
- This course provides a solid foundation, covering essential skills like work health and safety, effective industry practices, and makeup design and application.
- Units Covered:
- CUAWHS312: Apply work health and safety (20 hours)
- CUAIND311: Work effectively in the creative arts industry (35 hours)
- SHBBMUP009: Design and apply makeup (60 hours)
This six-week course is packed with practical, hands-on skills and is perfect for anyone ready to enter the makeup industry.

The Smart and Skilled program is open to students in NSW who are:
- 15 years or older
- No longer attending school
- An Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder, or New Zealand citizen
