This qualification is for individuals who want provide make-up and hair services for the screen, media and entertainment industries. It reflects the role of individuals who use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base in a wide variety of contexts.
CJMA students are trained in a highly creative studio with advanced and state of the art products and equipment.

The trainers at CJMA are highly respected industry professionals who work currently in the industry at all times providing students with current relevant industry trends, product knowledge and techniques. The trainers are to help encourage each and every student whilst studying. The unique course has been designed to ensure students receive the highest level of training.

This course is conducted full time over a period of weeks face to face training. Each lesson begins with the theory based component for the lesson topic, followed by a group class discussion and additional current relevant industry information is supplied by the trainer as a specialist in their field. The trainer then provides a demonstration of the subject explaining each step in detail and answers any questions by the students. Students are then to complete the look on each other. Students are assessed on their ability to conduct research skills, convey research into written reports and their technical skills through observation of practical work.

Course Duration: 40 Weeks

INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE

Its not enough to simply understand makeup- you need to understand the makeup industry you will be a part of. There are plenty of great makeup artist who never realise their full potential  because they lack the connections and industry smarts to get in the door and climb the ladder. This course has a been developed with a strong focus on creating those connections.

VERSATILITY IN TRAINING

One of the biggest challenges in training makeup is that danger of students being developed in narrow areas by teach who focus on their own speciality and style at the expense of others. That’s why you will be taught by some of the best names from the individual fields. You will have the chance to be trained in the complete range of professional methods and techniques required in today’s industry. Whatever your passion is – we will be passionate about it too. This course is fast paced but be confident in the knowledge that CJMD’s fast track course does not sacrifice delivering you the all the methods and techniques that are at the core of all of our students success

Equipment

Materials $1,650 (incl. GST)
Participants are required to pay for their makeup kit before the course commencement and their hair kit prior to subject commencement.
Please note that payment plans are not available for kits.

Photo shoots: To be confirmed prior to shoot schedule, cost of models and photographer hire are contracted in the enrolment form

Pre-requisites

  • Applicants must have successfully completed year 10 and be at least 16 years of age.
  • Applicants should display clear communication skills, and a passion for the makeup industry.
  • All applicants are encouraged to obtain and read a copy of the CJMD Student Handbook prior to enrolment as your signed enrolment form signifies your legal contract and agreement to these terms.

Course Fees: $10,200.00

Payment Details

Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of $1,200 is payable on enrolment to secure placement in course.

The total course cost is to be paid via monthly or fortnightly direct debit instalments.

Option 1:

Monthly

$900 (payments on 1st of the Month)

 

Option 2:

Fortnightly

$450.00 (payments start on 1 st of the month and reoccur fortnightly).
